Sammamish Montessori School Clubroom students, ages 3-7, made a Chihuly-inspired hanging sculpture over the Spring Break. It was entered into the School Division of the Creative Kids Art Exhibition at the 2017 WA State Spring Fair…. and we won First Place!
Teacher, Ms. Virginia Ward spearheaded this amazing project, collecting the ubiquitous plastic water bottles, having students paint them using vibrant acrylic paint and then cutting them into fringes and spirals. They were all woven together to create this amazing piece of art. Well done to everyone!
Come and see the sculpture, and our first prize ribbon, the next time you collect your child from school!
