Prep Program

Our Prep Program is designed for students starting school at age 2 to 3 years old.

The Prep Program is meant to prepare younger children so that they can eventually transition into a 3-6 Montessori class. The transition process will take place when the child has reached age 3 and can demonstrate social and emotional readiness and is adequately toilet trained.  The child’s teacher and director will determine when to move a child from the Prep Program to a Montessori 3–6 classroom and will consult with the child's parents and obtain permission to make the transition.  Transitioning to a space in a 3-6 class is also contingent on space being available in a 3-6 classroom.

The emphasis in the Prep Program will be on socialization and independence. Our prep students will be exposed to a wide variety of practical life and sensorial activities, play, art, stories, singing, movement and music.  Children who attend this class do not need to be fully potty trained, as potty training will be one of the skills taught.

Daily Schedule:

Half-Day Prep: 9AM to 11:30AM (morning drop off from 8:45AM, afternoon pick-up ends at 11:45AM).

Full-Day Prep: 9AM to 3:15PM (morning drop off from 8:45AM, afternoon pick-up ends at 3:30PM).

Our Prep Program is offered as a 5-day per week or four-day per week (M-F or M-TH) option.

*Accredited with non-traditional Montessori age groupings (The non-traditional age grouping applies only to the Prep Program. Our Montessori 3 to 6 classrooms follow traditional age groupings).
