This is an opportunity to travel and take some time to be with your child without missing school if you wish.
We offer Clubroom Tuesday-Friday during the mid-winter break for any children who would like to join in doing arts and crafts and a variety of projects. This is an event geared to current students and their families to allow them to show what they do at school. Moms, Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas and any other family members are welcome to attend.
Parents looking for a school for their children who wish to tour the school are encouraged to visit during school hours. Tours are available throughout the school year.
From 6:30 to 7PM afternoon students are invited to visit the classroom with their parents, grandparents, and siblings.
From 7-7:30PM morning students are invited to visit the classroom with their parents, grandparents, and siblings.

We create plenty of fun arts and crafts, projects, plan music and dancing, games, computer time, outdoor recess and sports. Please help us plan well by reserving your child’s space in advance. That way we can determine what types of activities would work best for the group and we can make sure we have plenty of teachers in place and ready to supervise and work with the children.
Please sign up in advance if you will need childcare on this day. A sign up sheet will be posted in the Clubroom, or you may call the office to sign up. Students do a variety of arts and crafts, music, computer, outdoor and indoor games, etc. on these days. We are open from 7:30AM to 6:15PM.
In-service days provide additional time for our teachers to broaden their knowledge, attend workshops and seminars, attend in-house trainings and meetings, observe other schools, and renew the learning environment. This is one of the many ways we strive to maintain the high quality of our program.
Detailed school reports are prepared for each student and provided to parents prior to end of the school year parent-teacher conferences.
When evaluating students we are more interested in following their individual progress and keeping track of their capabilities than comparing them with their peers. So that a child’s progress may be followed throughout their three-year primary cycle, the same evaluation format is used from preschool right through kindergarten. Parents should keep in mind that in many areas children cannot be expected to have reached proficiency until their kindergarten year. Teachers keep daily records of everything your child does at school and can give you information about any aspect of your child’s work should you require more details.
For elementary students a comprehensive elementary focused report format is utilized to track progress throughout the elementary cycle.
This is your opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss your child’s progress. Sign up for a conference if you would like to come in to talk about your child, or if your child’s teacher has indicated a conference is desirable.
An email with a link to our online conference scheduler is sent to all parents on our email distribution list well in advance of conference days.
If you need childcare during your conference please arrive a little early for your conference time so we can help you check your child in to our Conference Time Only Clubroom. If you need your child to attend for a longer period of time on one or both of these days, please sign up in advance in room 15 or by contacting the office: firstname.lastname@example.org or 425-883-3271.
Our Clubroom is open from 7:30AM to 6:15PM. The charge is $13 per hour, rounded up in 15-minute increments for time used during conference days.
On the last day of school (preschool & kindergarten, elementary students attend through Friday, 6/16) we hold a whole-school carnival on the SMS play field and premises to celebrate the end of the school year. Please join us for this really fun event!
